The Bill Perkins material is wonderful, but if you're only looking for Art Pepper, you need not get this disk. Art plays on only 3 tracks on this disk, and they're all available on other disks (see Artistry of Pepper).

note 1: Within the liner notes, it states: "We were unable to include one of the songs from the session (What Is This Thing Called Love?), which was present on the original LP, due to limited disc space. Instead, we decided to add a slightly shorter track (Angel Eyes) that originally appeared on a late 50's anthology. Pepper is not present on this track." Mosaic Select 15 indicates this track indeed came from the same session, however Selbert omits it from his sessionography as Art "sits out".
