Vintners.Net: SETI@home
We at Vintners.Net are proud to be a part of the largest computing excerise ever performed by mankind. The SETI@home project utilizes the idle time of everyday peoples computers to analyze radio signals from outside of our planet, looking for any cohesive (non-random) signals. If any are found, these will be checked more thoroughly, as they could be an indicator of a non-earth civilization.
Our workstations all run the SETI@home screensaver, and even some of our low-use servers. We're registered as a "Small Company" participant, under "V". The Vintners.Net current SETI@home statistics.
It costs nothing to be a part of this ambitious project -- at this
writing (11-May-2000) it appears there will be 2 million participants
within about a week.

Of late, SETI@Home has been experiencing bandwidth difficulties (the
price of success!). This causes individual computers to be unable to
get their results back to, and get a new, dataset. Fortunately,
someone has already built a solution for this problem -- it's called
SETIQueue. I recommend also using this package, however, if you're
new to SETI@Home, you may wish to hold off until your setup is
working.
