History:
French Creek opened it's doors in 1983. Hans Doerr, a German born UW professor, was the partner overseeing winemaking. Fred Mundy was the grape buyer, (all grapes were purchased), some from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. It was a 4k cases facility. I've had reports of their still being in business in 1989.

Apparently (1997?), the owners felt that they had reached the point that they either needed to "step up" and become a much bigger operation than they wanted to be, or to close the business. The result was that the building and equipment was sold to Silver Lake Winery and the building became the Silver Lake "champagne production" facility. (This was likely just an opportunity for them to move their tasting room closer to the other Woodinville wineries.)

The building is now a custom crush winemaking facility (early 2002), consulting enologist Matt Loso. This is now a winery of it's own Woodinville Wine Company.
