Date: Mon, 21 Apr 2003 19:17:36 -0700 (PDT) From: Hinzerling Winery Subject: You still have tine to get your teeth sharpened..... .... for the 25th annual Yakima Valley Spring Barrel Tasting April 25-27, 2003 from 11 a.m. to 5p.m. Pack your lips and join more than 30 premium Yakima Valley wineries for a day of learning all about how wine develops from barrel to bottle. Here are some tips for enjoying the weekend: 1. Bring your own glass or purchase a nice souvenir glass at partipating wineries- most wineries do not supply regular tasting room glasses that weekend. We took a poll amongst our loyal staff and they said we want to pour wine, not wash glasses- they rule!. 2. Be aware that some wineries may charge for tasting- we won't - - except if you want to taste from our library of old wines. 3. Don't try to visit more than five or maybe six wineries in a day- and please do stop for lunch- may wineries, including ours have a picnic area. 4. Bring along a designated driver- maybe a mormon friend or, this would really be a good job for a family teenager- they'll be bored, but hey, they'll be bored no matter what they're doing. 5. To avoid the crowds: a. Go Friday and Sunday- take Friday off and smell the rose's b. Start in the middle of the valley and work you way towards one end. c. visit the smaller wineries early (and often) 6. For a great way to end Friday or Saturday, make reservations for our Washington Asparagus Dinners- call us at 1-800-727-6702 for more info or see http://www.hinzerling.com/asparagus_menu.html HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND Mike Wallace, winemaker/prop Hinzerling Winery & the Vintner's Inn
