Lost Mountain Winery    June 1997

Greetings!

Summer is fast approaching and we look forward to seeing you at Open
Winery where we will present our new releases.  We will be here daily from
11:00am to 5:00pm. starting Saturday, June 21, through Sunday July 6th.

It is with sadness that we announce that Romeo died this Spring after a
short illness.  Romeo mastered the art of living well and exuberantly
passed it on.  We will continue the family tradition of making
hand-crafted red wines in the Italian style.  The wines that Romeo and his
sons made during the last two years will continue to be released over the
next few years.

This years wines are:

1995 Lost Mountain Red -- a lighter version of the original family blend.
     $12.00/bottle

1994 Washington Cabernet Sauvignon -- taste the distinctive Sagemoor Farms
     Cabernet grape unencumbered by oaky tannins.  $15.00/bottle

1995 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir -- Romeo favored Bruce Weber's carefully
     grown grapes.  This soft, yet lively, wine is a perfect fit with
     lighter fare.  $15.00/bottle

1995 Washington Lemberger -- an up and coming grape, we've been making
     this fruity and versatile wine for several years.  $13.00/bottle

1995 San Joaquin County Barbera -- sympatico with most Italian dishes,
     especially the rich buttery ones such as Pasta alla Carbonara.
     $15.00/bottle

1995 Pipa's Blend -- the original family recipe (a blend of Zinfandel,
     Alicante and Muscat) handed down from Romeo's father evokes images of
     large Italian family feasts.  $13.00/bottle

1994 Washington Poesia -- Rebecca Wild's elegant label and Kate Reavey's
     poem "The Waning" will enhance your enjoyment of this wonderful wine.
     A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the whole is truly greater
     than the sum of it's parts.  $16.00/bottle

For those who are sensitive, please note that we do not use any sulfiting
agents at any point in the process.  Details of total sulfite content are
available.

We hope to see you during Open Winery, but if that is not convenient, the
winery will be open Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day or by
arrangement.  We are happy to reserve wine for you on recipt of your check
for the purchase price plus 7.9% sales tax.  Remember that straight or
mixed cases receive a 10% discount.
