Subject: Newsletter from Lost Mountain Winery Date: Thu, 8 Jun 2000 08:06:48 -0700 Spring 2000 Hello! Please join us as we again celebrate our Annual Open Winery - an opportunity to sample this years new releases with bread and fine cheese as accompaniments. As usual we will be here daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday June 17th through Wednesday July 5th.=20 We've made some more changes this year including moving some of our production into another building and purchasing a little more in the way of equipment. Our new semi-automatic corking machine is a dream to use...no more of that tedious and slow hand corking...it is better for the corks and for our volunteers! The basement is now all barrel storage, and we have added a small gift area of local lavender products, arts and crafts, foods, and other items in the upstairs tasting room. We have planted a lavender garden that should be in bloom this summer and it will be a delightful place to spread a blanket for a picnic. Due to increases in grapes prices, we are faced with the need to raise the price of our wines. To try to be accommodating to all our many friends and customers that have sustained us over the years we are offering a special Open Winery Discount. If you purchase your wine between now and the end of our open winery, July 5th, and are on our mailing list, we will offer a 20% discount on all straight or mixed cases. After that time period we will need to go back to our normal 10% case discount. This special pricing is also available for phone and mail orders and we will ship to any location that is allowed by law. When you visit our tasting room, or phone in your order, please be sure to give us your name and tell us you are on our mailing list to get this special price.=20 1998 Lost Mountain Red - This great blend of Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah, with a touch of Muscat make this wine absolutely delicious.
