History:
John Farias has been involved in the Pacific Northwest wine and beer renaissance since it's beginning. In 1965 he bought Liberty Malt Supply, a wine and beer making supply store that had been in the Pike Place market since 1921. He ran the shop until closing it in 19?? because ???.

In 19?? John got involved with starting the Pike Place Brewing company in the capacity of ???. In 1997, John sold his shares, and combining that with his pension (he's a retired bricklayer), he's started Market Cellar Winery.

The co-owner, Charles Finkle has just as long a history in the local beer and wine scene; he worked with Chateau Ste. Michelle, leaving when it was bought by U.S. Tobacco in 19??. With his earnings from Chateau Ste. Michelle shares, he started his own wine and beer importing business (which is still operating) -- Merchant Du Vin.
