Fort Rock Red scores 90 POINTS!
Maryhill Winery is thrilled to announce that our 2001 Fort Rock Red Columbia Valley Red Table Wine has been awarded 90 points by the Beverage Testing Institute. This is the winery's first 90 point score. Many professional wine tasting/testing
entities use a standard 0 to 100 point scale to rate wine.
Maryhill's Fort Rock Red along with nine other wines with high ratings were featured on CNBC's morning "Squawk Box" program Friday, November 14. The national television exposure was another Maryhill first. A host for the program read the story of Lewis & Clark's arrival at Fort Rock from the back label during the show!
This summer, Maryhill Winery entered the 2001 Fort Rock Red in the Chicago Value Wine
Challenge--a competition recently completed at the Beverage Testing Institute's laboratories in Chicago, Illinois. Three hundred US and imported wines with retail pricing below $15 were judged. All of the results of the 2003 competition will soon be posted at the Beverage Institute's website: www.tastings.com
