An excellent travel reference, with info on hotels, radio stations, you name it! Organized by region which is great when you're on the road, or planning a trip.

A very good reference in it's time, with a lot of attention given to the winemakers. I believe there was an updated version circa 1993.

A good reference in it's time, with a lot of attention given to the wines themselves, including ratings (arbitrary by the author). Most of the wines are no longer available, so the ratings are no longer useful.

Useful only as a snapshot of 1987 in a nutshell -- 48 operating wineries!

Touring the Washington Wine Country pamphlet, Washington Wine Commission (1995)

Available at all wineries, and most wine shops, even grocery stores, and it's free (your wine tax dollars at work). It lists all wineries in the state, but not by region and the maps are rather crude.

Steve is a member of the Boeing employees winemakers club, and is currently researching failed WA wineries. 425-222-7036.

The Wine Project Dr. Walter Clore & Ron Irvine (1997)

Dr. Clore is possibly the most greatest single influence on the WA state wine industry. He and Ron Irvine have put together an extensive book detailing the early history of WA wineries.
