(Courtesy Hogue Cellars -- Jun-2001) WADE WOLFE General Manager/Viticulturist Wade Wolfe came to Hogue in 1991, after working as director of vineyard operations at Washington's Chateau Ste. Michelle winery, and as a vineyard consultant. At Hogue, he is general manager for production, including viticulture and grower relations, and works closely with winery president Gary Hogue in production and sales supervision. Wolfe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and a Ph.D. in grape genetics from UC Davis. He has served as chairman of the Washington Wine Advisory Board and president of the Washington Association of Winegrowers. In 1993 Wolfe received the Alec Bayless Award from the Washington Wine Commission for his outstanding contributions to the state's wine industry. Wade and his wife, Rebecca Yeaman, own Thurston-Wolfe Winery in Prosser, where they produce small lots of Semillon, Zinfandel, Lemberger, Syrah and Port.
