Vineyards: none History: Gene and Kathy Pasek were originally from Oak Harbor. Gene began making wines at home when he was in high school, and more recently has volunteered helping out at wineries in Eastern Washington for several years, while working as a hairdresser and property manager. They opened a winery and tasting room in a historic downtown Mt. Vernon storefront Mount Vernon in the Fall of 1997. (At the time, Pasek Cellars was the only winery in Skagit County.) By 2001 they were able to devote their time to the winery full-time. In 2002, the winery was moved to a larger facility on Old Highway 99 in Mt. Vernon and the tasting room was moved to the Skagit Red Barn near I-5 at Exit 221 in Conway. In Summer 2004, they've entered into a partnership with Willow Crest Winery opening a satellite tasting room in Leavenworth's Masterpiece Gallery, at 939 Front St. The Wines: Current releases (Spring 2003) Whites:
