Production: (2006) 80 cases Vineyards: 1 acres Distribution: Winery only History: Mike & Beth have been rabid followers of the WA State wine industry since the mid-1980's. In addition to MikeL's WA Winery Guide, Mike got the interest in actually making his own wine with a visit to Tefft Cellars in 1997. With a visit to Bainbridge Island Vineyard and Winery in 1999, the seed of the dream of actually owning and living on a vineyard was planted. In December 2003, Mike and Beth sold their Seattle home to move to a small but plantable property on Bainbridge, which allowed them both to keep their day-gigs in Seattle in order to pay for this new farm! Please visit their official website for more details. Sources: [the winery] The Wines: As the winery has an official website with detailed wine notes, I'll leave this section to them. Please visit the link (above) for current wine info.
Winemakers: Mike Lempriere 2005 - present Of special note: Perennial Vintners is a micro-winery and vineyard. We are a family farm, and are proud to be associated with local agriculture even though we're just 8 miles from downtown Seattle. Our wines are all produced from 100% Estate grown fruit. We are honored to live in such a place of beauty as Seattle. Our wines are intended to enliven our local bounty, especially seafood. We are the first to grow the Melon de Bourgogne grape on a commercial scale in WA State, and are specializing in cool climate delicate white wines. Please visit our website for more details...
