Newsletter from Tefft Cellars rcvd 9-Nov-1998 ---------------------- Tefft Cellars THE HERON SILHOUETTE Volume 5, Issue 10 1997 LATE HARVEST ZINFANDEL PRE-RELEASE SPECIAL Once again Joel has made an unusually styled wine in Washington!! Our latest relesae is our 1997 Late Harvest Zinfandel. Grapes from 90 year old vines were used to produce this unique late harvest wine that shows intense flavors of plum, cherry and spice, balanced with crisp acidity and a touch of vanilla from the oak aging. A slight residual sugar makes this the perfect after dinner wine. Pre-release special price of only $16.99 per bottle or $203.00 per case for 750ml, or $7.50 per bottle or $90.00 per case for 375ml. (Pre-release prices effective until 25-Nov-1998.) A limited amount of this wine was produced, sales are offered to our mailing list customers first [tell 'em "MikeL sentcha"], and then will be released November 27th in the tasting room. Those customers that pre-purchased the late Zin at Barrel Tasting 1998, it is now ready for you to pick up at any time. We look forward to your visit to the winery. If Joel is not in the tasting room, don't hesitate to ask, he is probably just working and would appreciate a "break" to visit with you!! As always, thanks to our Special Customers!! THANKSGIVING IN THE WINE COUNTRY OPEN HOUSE NOV 27-29 The wineries of the Yakima Valley again invite you to join us for Thanksgiving in the Wine Country. Great food samples will be served, paired with the perfect wine! Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy great food and wine at you favorite winery. Joel will be preparing Italian Peasent Seafood Stew for your enjoyment at Tefft Cellars. -------- Remember, we offer a 15% discount per case, or 20% discount for 2 or more cases! Pre-release prices are already discounted. -------- HARVEST UPDATE The 1998 harvest season is now drawing to a close, and things are beginning to settle down for a while (at least until the ice wine grapes come in). Our new facility and equipment has made Joel's life a little easier this year for crush (however, that doesn't mean he isn't berry, berry busy doing all those things that winemakers do so well!) -------- HERON NOTES: I am sure that you all save corks to make "something" with. However, they become like the left-overs in the fridge, in the way and eventually thrown away!! Drop them off at Tefft Cellars any time and Pam will show you waht she makes with them. Be sure to remember your used shippers stashed away in the basement or garage, and recycle them at Tefft Cellars. I will give credit of $3.00 per case shipper towards your next purchase. -------- Tefft Cellars 1320 Independence Road Outlook, WA 98938 509-837-7651, 1-888-303-7651 fax 509-839-7337 email tcwinery@aol.com ----------------------
