Vineyards: 8 acres in Walla Walla History: In March of 1998, Duane and Mary Wollmuth purchased the home and vineyard of the old Biscuit Ridge Winery. They've revived the original five acres of Gewrztraminer vineyard, and named it Biscuit Ridge Vineyard. They've also planted 2 additional acres of Gewrztraminer and 1 acre of Cabernet Franc. In Feb-1999, they've created a partnership with two other couples to start Three Rivers Winery in Walla Walla. They'll be crushing this fall (1999) at Waterbrook Winery and expect to have the winery facility complete by mid-year 2000. The winemaker will be Charlie Hoppes, former winemaker at Chateau Ste. Michelle. The winery will be located on Hwy. 12, about five miles west of Walla Walla, and will be a 15,000 case winery, expected to be at production capacity by 2001.
