MikeL's Guide to WA Wineries
Wineglass Cellars - Wines

The Wines: (Spring 1996)

1994 was in general an outstanding year for grapes. Water was in short supply and the weather was hot. The grapes came in very darkly colored and full of flavor.

Whites:
1993 Chardonnay: Medium bodied with a hint of oak. This wine was fermented in stainless steel and then put in new French Oak barrels for four weeks.

Reds:
Ralph's Red: A light, dry red table wine.

1994 Pinot Noir: A classic Pinot Noir nose followed with cherry/raspberry flavors. This wine was aged eight months in new French Oak made especially for Pinot Noir.

1994 Merlot: Black cherries and oak start the nose of this wine and follows through on the taste. In addition there are flavors of black pepper with a hint of anise. This wine spent 15 months on American Oak.

1992 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon: We lightly filtered this full bodied wine so none of the flavors will be missed. Two years of oak blend well with the fruit of 1992.

Other:
Fran's Wine: A blush table wine, light and fruity with a hint of sweet that enhances the fruit.

1995 Late Harvest Semillon: The nose is of botrytis (Noble Rot) and pears. The flavor is also of botrytis and pears.
