The original Daquila winery was in this building below the Pike Place market on the "Hillclimb". Old-time Seattleites will remember this space as adjoing Liberty Malt and Beverage, homebrew supplier (whose sign is still visible in the photo). In the early 1990's, the space re-opened by the Pike Street Brewery. The brewery has just moved up the hill into the market proper (in the space that used to be Shorey's bookstore) at this writing (Fall 1996). See also Market Cellar Winery P.S.
